It is a huge area, with lots of different opportunities. However the first thing you should really do is to get a website.

You can then sign up to different organisations that have products you can promote. The two most popular are www.clickbank.com and www.commissionjunction.com.

I would really also recommend joining www.warriorforum.com.

What are the best affiliate marketing programs that pay very well but are free to join?
I see some programs say payment % CPO and some CPA whats the difference?

It depends on what you want to sell, or what your website is about. Every affiliate program I have ever seen is free to join. The problem is their payout rules. Some won’t pay until you get a certain amount of sales, and if you don’t make enough sales in an allotted amount of time they won’t pay out. I’m thinking Commission Junction is one that does that.

One of the worst I’ve heard of is Amazon as far as poor payment. Their percentages are so poor it’s very difficult to make much money.

The best programs are those that pay for clickthroughs or for leads. You can make quite a bit of money with those, but they are harder to find. Also, clickbank is very good for digital products. Most products you sell through clickbank will pay 50 to 75 percent of the sale.

I read somewhere that Amazon is a good place to start aff marketing .But just wanted to know whether each and every product on Amazon has affiliate program or not.

Yeah they are all covered by the program.
In fact, if someone clicks your amazon referral link to a certain product, say shoes for example, his PC will have the amazon "cookie" dropped onto it so you will earn commission on ANY product he buys thereafter within the next 24 hours from amazon which is how long the cookie lasts.

I’m in high school and I would like to get involved in Affiliate Marketing. I have done some research and find it entirely feasible, however I can’t seem to find any Affiliate Programs that accept affiliates under 18. Are there any programs that do? If not, what are some ways around this?

If you had no visibility then you’d probably not see it…perhaps if you tried minding ur own business and stay out of everyone elses then you dont have to worry about marketing programs afterall you actually designed the marketing program..but im sure you will learn eventually…

Are there any good affiliate programs that do not have any minimum payout so that I can get what I earn within a month?
Then what if I decide to close an account with them? Do I get paid what I have earned?

I am looking to get started in affiliate marketing but I am not sure where to start. I am looking for basic step-by-step directions to get me started making money as I could sure use the extra income. Can you please help or point me in the right direction at least?

I just started doing affiliate marketing about 4 months ago as I wanted something to do part-time from home since I am a stay at home mom. My husband’s job is unstable, so we need some income to fall back on just in case. When I researched things I could do from home, affiliate marketing seemed the most lucrative, but then I found out just how many affiliate programs there are and I was so overwhelmed (which I’m sure you are too!)

Someone whom I met on a WAHM forum recommend that I check out www.mattbacak.com and I was blown away by him. This guy is a millionaire from doing marketing online. I read just about everything that I could read from Matt Bacak and decided that I was going to subscribe to his Marketing Dirt newsletter as well.

In the past 4 months since starting, I have learned so much and I totally recommend you check this guy out. I have not made that much money yet, as one thing you should know is that it does take time, but I am slowly starting to see more traffic to my sites and more sales, which I am thrilled about.
