Posted by admin | Under affiliate software Wednesday Dec 9, 2009I have a good community that I want to develop into a forum, but I would eventually like to monetize the forum so I need a program that I can eventually ad advertising or affiliate links when the time is right. Which program has this capability?
http://www.forumotion.com uses phpBB software for your free forum, which is popular and easy to use on the front end. The setup is also supereasy and they offer automatic updates, a big advantage in discussion board world.
You can also add your own ads easily.

Is it a must to ask for SSN or Tax ID if you run an affiliate program in the United States?
Posted by admin | Under affiliate software Monday Oct 26, 2009I want to know is it illegal not to ask for SSN or Tax ID? If so what are the steps in making people submit their SSN? Who do I send this information too? I sell web hosting and the billing software that I got (WHMCS) has a built in affiliate program, but they do not ask for SSN or Tax ID in the script. Any help would be great!
Thank you!
WHMCS is a privately owned company based in the UK. (UK Registered Company #6265962. Vat No. GB 927 7746 76)
They could care less about your SSN and won’t be asking for it. They are not subject to US tax laws since they have no operations in the US. Since you are not a UK customer they won’t be asking for any UK specific tax information.
You, on the other hand, as a reseller, may need to ask for a TIN from your customers that are based in the US.
What is the most cost effective 3d imaging software?
Posted by admin | Under affiliate software Tuesday Oct 6, 2009When I say 3d imaging software, I mean things like auto desk maya, google sketch up, true space and etc. I am already affiliated with all of these programs, but they are extremely difficult to use (except for google sketch up). I need a program that gives me the ability to create realistic renders, make animated scenes (and render those too), easily create models and lets me export my animations. But I need one that is cost effective, in other words, I’d like more bang for my buck.
One word my friend…. Blender - http://www.blender.org , I’ll not try and kid you here, the interface is quite daunting to begin with and takes time to learn, but the results you can produce are easily comparable to Maya or 3DSMax and the best thing about it is that it’s completely free and open-source and that’s about as much bang for your buck as you’re gonna get. It will render out in over 15 formats including AVI, AVIJpeg, Jpeg , PNG, BMP etc etc, and as it is open-source there is a huge community of users, tutorials and forums freely available on the net to help you along the way. As an added bonus it also has a built in game engine that will let you produce stand alone executable games without any programming! What more could you ask? Check out what I produce with Blender here - http://www.spiceyoursite.co.uk or google Blender Art to see work produced by other users of this great software.

How to give affiliate url from my own website ?
Posted by admin | Under affiliate software Monday Sep 28, 2009Dear all,
I would like to start a estore website, from that I am planning to run a affiliate programme. I have seen in many websites running affiliate programmes by giving an URL link of the same website with affiliate Id. And they are giving that link as a free website. It looks same as the parent website, It is hardly taking less than 30 seconds.
I am eager to know how the url link is generated, does this process requires any third party software, if so can any of you suggest what are mosft famous softwares for this process.
please educate me in this scenario, your suggestions will be highly appreciated.
Thank you
Hi, this is a "white label" solution.
Essentially, the parent website uses technology to serve the exact site up for affiliate but uses a coded paramater on the end of the URL to identify which affiliate partner.
For example www.parentsite.com?affiliateID=1 will track sales/transactions generated for the affiliate with the ID 1.
At the point when a visitor comes in on the URL www.parentsite.com?affiliateID=1 the affiliateID=1 parameter will probably be captured by the first party cookie and thus at the point of sale, the software will pull the parameter frmo the cookie and this is how transactions are tracked for each affiliate.
Typically, white label solutions offer some level of rebranding to differentiate from each other.
With regards to software, you would actually implement this simple tracking solution yourself as essentially all you are doing is tagging a sale (in the cookie) through the dynamic parameter (?affiliateID=1).
Personally, I wouldn’t recommend this as a good affiliate solution capable of generating you sales but for the time it would take you to implement it’s worth trialing.
I would recommend off the shelf software such as: http://jam.jrox.com/, but shop around this query will get you started: http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=affiliate+marketing+software&meta=
Where to get a Webpage Duplicator/Replicator?
Posted by admin | Under affiliate software Saturday Sep 26, 2009I need to duplicate/replicate just one html webpage about 1,000+ times but have it add a unique affiliate url to each one. (A different affiliate link to each one).
I checked out affiliate programs and they don’t have what I need.
I also checked out affiliate tracking software, not what I need.
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
It is NOT for spamming. I have members who want to promote my business. I have a referral system in place but the tracking is not cookie based and is crap. So I designed an SE friendly HTML portal page to use. I just need to duplicate it many times over and having their distinct affiliate url placed into it.
The problem I have with the present affiliate tracking is if someone goes off the signup page to check out the rest of the site that person is lost to the referrer.
It sounds like you should do this dynamically. Use php, asp, or whatever works for you to place the unique content into the page from a database. Much better than copying the site 1000 times and will be easier to maintain in the future.
(It isn’t a lame search spam website is it? If so, please don’t do it!)
