Hi, I began on saturday submitting to approx. 25 article directories, and I have submitted 4 articles to each one, and I intend to submit 1 per day. How long do you usually wait before seeing your first visitor? or do you know any other traffic technique (not ppc) to get targeted trafic fast?

You could see results after a few days if your articles are exceptionally good. On the other hand, if you are just submitting articles left and right that is just "filler" content for the search engines, you are going to wait a long time before you see any result - most likely it won’t be worth it at all.

You should also understand that article marketing is just one of many methods used to market an online business website - it is not really a business in itself. To get a better click through rate on your articles that link to either amazon associates, Google adsense, affiliate links, etc. You have to have a strong call to action like saying "buy books here from Amazon on ____ topic." or by saying " click the link below to learn how to ______."
