For the best US colleges, I trust US News & World Report. For worldwide colleges, you are always going to find that the country that publishes it favors its own universities, and many top colleges are left off.

Do not take this list to heart, because your school may be amazing but just absent from this list, or ranked much lower than it deserves. For example, Boston University is ranked higher than Germany’s best university that has produced many more breakthroughs, Nobel laureates, etc.

if you want to know what keywords are triggering your site to appear in Google and at what position and on what page the easiest way with the a Google webmaster tool

sign up for a Google webmaster account and it/Google will tell you all your keywords that are triggering your site to appear as well as all the other stuff a website owner needs to know (links, site speed, any problems)

We have change our main server 3 weak ago. Now we find that our mostly site ranking have fall down at google. Please let me know that is server IP is it reason, I means I want to know that is server IP is also effects on our site ranking.

IP has nothing to do with pagerank, although links from other websites on the same IP or even c-class range may be devalued for serps reasons.

It’s generally accepted that changing ip’s or hosts won’t make a difference in serps unless, like mentioned earlier, the server is located in a different geographical area - example: switching from a UK to a US server, as Google takes into consideration where your located when determining relevancy.

How do I check where my site ranks on google in different countries?

Search "google global" on google and the first search site is a site called redflymarketing. Do there and download the software (you must have an older version of firefox which you can download at oldapps.com) when you search in your country you’ll just have to right click and pick what country you’d like to see the results for. Its suprising how different these are.

I have heard that there is something called page ranking for web sites. How do we calculate it ? who decides the rank of a page ?

PageRank is Googles logarithm that they use when sorting search results.

Does adding your site in even small business directories help rank your site higher in search engines?

Or is it best to just stick with the big directories? I guess the question is - the more the merrier - big and small? Both will help your rankings in Google, Yahoo, Dogpile, etc.
Example of what I mean - There are some small rinky dink social networks *that maybe only is run by 1 or two people) with a place to list your business web site - will that also help your ranking.

Any mention or listing referring to your website will help.
