i made a site about configuring the psp for internet access the other day and have been trying to submit it to google. It says that the google bot has seen it but it doesnt appear when i check on google. Is there any way i can submit my site for free and quick like within 24-48 hours.

Fastest way which works for me are these strategies.

Bookmark the site on your Google and Yahoo home pages. Indexing in 24 hours or so.

Add a link to an existing website with high traffic.

Squidoo lens the site.

Social bookmarks - Propeller, Jumptags, and Mixx are fastest from my experience.

I recently heard that Smallville is casting for television extras but I don’t want to pay (and possibly forget or get caught with the monthly bill) the site that I found the info on. Is there a site that I can find the info to submit my resume for free?

The usually put an ad in the local publicationm internet or newspaper for extras. Then when they get your name in their database they keep track of it for the next show or movie.

You already own the copyrights to your work. Mailing them to yourself is a way of having proof of when you wrote it. Most publishers don’t require you to get it copyrighted before you submit it, and no reputable publisher is going to steal your work. If they want to publish it, they pay to register the copyright for you in your name.

Don’t trust any of those sites who claim that they can do it for you. Only the U.S Copyright Office can do it, and it is only $45 to do so. You can check on their website for more information. http://www.copyright.gov/

It is hard to find FREE press release submissions that allow you to target the distribution. If you want targeting, you need to pay the big guns of press release distribution such as PR Wire among others

Do you mean published in magazines or published on-line? There’s a difference. Please don’t be tempted to post your poems on-line unless you don’t care about having them copied.

With magazines, it’s different. Unless you allow All Rights to the publisher, you will own copyright to your poem(s), so they can be reprinted elsewhere.

To find a site on-line, go to your library for a copy of Writers Markets and see which publishers accept e-mail submissions. Quite a few do these days.

Since google actively tries to discourage this sort of thing, you should not ask for help on it. Anyone who give you help (and I’m restraining myself here) is dishonest.
