Have you made any money? I’m learning HTML and eventually CSS, javascript, php etc. I see banner ads, ads by Google and so on. I wonder if anyone clicks on them or do you find it’s hope, but no reward. Have you made nothing, some small amount of pocket money or been successful? Any experiences and tips welcome.

Yes you can earn,it depends on the adds and what kind of business. It takes time before you earn. Google adsense is okay but takes long time. Just get a job and do it part time as a hobby or for the future . Adult business is more profitable only if you can do it. Look for porn all the time and study how to earn from it. If you join affiliate marketing, you will have access to the websites tools like free pictures, videos , movies. If you like porn, this is the business I suggest you try, make a blog or website and post adds. But if you can’t try commission junction, click bank and link share. There are several survey sites that are legit,, your not going to get rich doing them though. Do not give anyone your SSN there are lots of sites out there that are legit and they do not need this info from you. Nor do you have to pay to join.

I have a domain name and now am looking to either build a affiliate site or purchase a template. I will have some content, Blogs etc. Giving people reasons to revisit. The templates and website building programs seem very basic and don’t allow much room in the way of advertisement. My question is - has anyone built a site for the sole purpose of generating money from affiliate advertisement and where is the best place to find a template or the correct program to build this type of site? I don’t have any HTML experience. Thanks!

In regards to a horse racing affiliate program, you can do two things:

1) Go to Clickbank market place - http://www.clickbank.com/marketplace.htm - and do a search for "horse racing"

2) Do a Google search for "horse racing affiliate programs"

I like to select an affiliate program around a niche topic i want to promote but i see alot of affiliate programs want a website to look at. How can i get approved since my website is going to based on the affiliate program i signup for in the first place.
Should i just design an information site around the affiliate program with no selling to try to get approved. Or even use a blog or squidoo to set up a quick site to get approved. Any suggestions here.

You just answered your own question.

You can create a free blog or site, then show it to the affiliate programs that require you to have one. Blogger, Weebly, HubPages and Squidoo would be great.

Some affiliate marketers that don’t have sites just engage in a lot of article marketing or bum marketing.

Do you have to get a speical software program, are their websites ready available, do you have to make it yourself? The less cost the better and free is the best. Thanks!
an affiliate program is where and when people sign up and join you and sell fro you. doesn’t matter if it’s vitamins, electronics, jewelry. The affiliate program is what counts.. How do you start a affiliate program and own it.

If you have your own product you want other affiliates to promote you could register with a third party network like clickbank, commission junction, ect. They handle the purchase of your product as well as paying they affiliates for sales. You need to have a product website setup first.

If you are looking for 2-tier affiliates (people that promote an affiliate product you promote) for more sales then I suggest a website setup to tell people about what the benefits are of joining the affiliate program you are promoting.

There are free and paid services that can accomplish this. Do a some research for affiliate management programs to find the various options.

If I wanted to create my own website how do I use a affiliate company to generate leads?

First of all, before contacting any affiliate network to promote your product, make sure that your actual site and landing page are fully customized to maximise conversion.

Because no affiliate will promote a prosuct that does not convert.

Therefore you could be wasting thousands of dollars setting up an affiliate campaign for very little sales. In that case only the affiliate network wins ( via the fees that some of them make merchant pay ).

When it comes to actually chosing an affiliate network,I would suggest you to have alook at you competition and see who they are working with… if they have been with the same netowork for many years, they must be making some money out of their program.

Most affiliate network will provide you with advertising artworks ( banners, text and even video ) or you may provide yours.
Try to provide the affiliate company as much information as possible regarding your target demographics.

Always remember that the only way to make good money out of this is to look after your affiliate. Try to identify your high rollers quickly and move them up to a better pay structure so they wont go promote your competitor’s products.

Finally remember that internet is a strange beast that is evolving all the time…so always keep inform about the affiliate tools.
